Now my age is 27 (and 1/2 completed). Need to get married. Everyone advise to get loan , get house, settle in life. So what is settling in life?? that is total nonsense idea of people who just don't think out-of-box. But I started thinking out-of-box and liked 'Simple living' concept.
Honestly, I had dreams of a 'corporate' job , foreign trips, luxury life when I was studying college. But after being in a 'corporate' + 'city' + 'luxury' life for 6 years now, I conclude that this is NOT what I wanted. Because during my college days I had enough physical work, enough conversation with friends and family, enough fresh air and pollution free environment, enough freedom and especially no dependency on MONEY(since I studied in Govt college, it costs less and subsidized).
Importantly, in corporate job, I do not work for my betterment or my immediate-surrounding-society's betterment. I am working to improve living conditions and comforts of USA, UK, EUROPE people. I work late at night spoiling my health to make someone's life easier. I admit that most of the work done in software is upgrade-rework-redesign... simply it is beating around the bush. For many people this routine corporate life + typical money/gold oriented wife + obedient kids (who do super-singer, etc) become the 'MEANING OF LIFE'. But to me this is wrong. I want to do something for my society/surrounding-people (this is not similar to 'politician' dialogue). I mean, rather than serving others , why not serve our self. A barber/cook-in-local-road-side-shop serves a locality and few people are friendly and helpful to him. But for whatever I do in 'corporate' job, I simply get MONEY MONEY and nothing else. At the end , if I am not billable to client, I am a SHIT to corporate world. This is too bad. The corporate society is build out of 'MONEY'. In 'Simple living' it is build of respect+compassion+self-respect.
I had asked few questions to myself and below are my points
What will make me happy now?
1. Live in hoemtown and be with family and relations
2. Get some land and cultivate for my own/family needs
3. Run some business side by side (mini truck, fruit juice, internet + print + copy shop)
4. Be updated with latest technologies/philosophies and if possible share my knowledge with others (for free or fee)
5. Find same attitude girl to marry
Why I do not want to continue a 'corporate' job?
1. I hate sitting 9 to 5 (or any 8 hour shift) for some nonsense client (who thinks about money all the time and that is just opposite of me)
2. I do not want to waste my time in a city with lots of pollution and less nutrient food practice
3. I do not want to feel dull and drowsy all the time (as I always feel in a 'corporate' job)
4. I do not want to lose the charm of my favorite functions/celebrations/marriages/rituals in my region(country/state/town)
5. I do not want to live in a concrete jungle where many 'corporate' people are lifeless and live a routine life watching what is shown in TV and not thinking out of box
So what is the difference between 'corporate' and 'simple' living that I prefer?
1. I need not live the life that others (corporate/society/tv/newspaper) want me to live.. This means --> I can live my own life.. Carefree..
2. I can focus on what I want rather than what my boss/client wants. I can improve my living conditions rather than spoiling my health for improving others.
3. I can be fit both emotionally and physically
Why this 'simple' living is too complex to accomplish?
1. Society is made of 'MONEY' and to have it in 'simple' life is difficult. It takes sometime to bring down the dependency on MONEY in 'simple' life.
2. Society (even relatives/friends) are discouraging and negative for 'simple' living. Breaking their advise is hard.
3. 'Simple' living will be easy to start, if there exist a community of 'Simple' living people to exchange ideas and consumables (importantly for NO MONEY).
4. It takes lot of mental confidence to stay in track when practising 'Simple' life and facing failures in it.
