True freedom in simple words is no-commitment.
To clarify it better: it means you do what you think (without affecting others) and unbound to time/money.
The above definition seems sooo simple.. But the problem is in attaining that.
How present day Indians are tied to time/Money ?
(1) Housing Loans: We get huge housing loans for which we COMMIT to work for 8 years to 15 years (depending upon loan amount) and pay interests.
(2) Marriage: In India people wrongly understand marriage. Indians say we need HOUSE for marriage.. This requirement is now linked to item (1) above. So this makes us 'COMMITTED'. Apart from this no girl is ready to marry someone who is trying out something else other than what majority in the society does.
(3) JOB: Currently in India we accept jobs for 8 hours from monday to friday. We also end up doing more than this. Also we do night shifts and weekend shifts. We do all this to satisfy items (2) and hence item (1). This job sucks your life for benefit of other nations.
So what is the BIG STORY:

So what is the BIG STORY:
Our current society is so 'GREEDY' and 'IN-HUMANE' one. This society will not let you do what you think. Instead it forces you to do what majority is doing. Kind of enforcing or influencing you to the norms of society. Most of the times we do not want that but we just end up doing it because others do that.
How we get into the whirlpool of 'GREEDY' and 'IN-HUMANE' society and lose our 'FREEDOM' ? see below..
Once we enter a college for degree we are BOUND to MONEY. i.e we wanted to earn money for living. We think we need to earn atleast 15000 INR per month (this is during 2002s). Then we end up in one such job. Then we see people in our company get more pay based on performance. Our friends in neighboring company get double pay than ours. Our onsite team gets 5 to 10 times more pay than ours ... then comes GREED. We fight to go onsite and earn more..more..more... But the point is we forget what we actually wanted. Common answers would be this: "Now we need to get house/car because to get married". STOP.. I do not find any reason for House/Car for marriage . This part is ENFORCED by the society !!! So this in turn makes us run for more money which induce GREED for money.
WHY DO SUCH NONSENSE ??? What an asshole society this is?
FREEDOM is lost in our life because of above reasons.
We go behind money instead of following passion. I feel I am not too good explaining this. Only who realize this can understand the point !!! ah.. frustrated....
The point is we do not ask questions until we get money. Like we work for 8 hrs from monday-to-friday. Who decided that? Why should I work for 8 hours? Tribal people do only 3 hours work and rest of the time they just roam around and enjoy what they want. In France/Netherlands the working hours per week is only 27 hours and they are thinking of reducing it to 21 hours. Why in India people does not care a shit to think about their own life?
People are so blind that they do not even want to think that they are living in limited freedom though lots of freedom is possible in our country. They do not want to try the freedom it seems !!!
I am not going to be this way anymore.. I am going to pick my freedom. My freedom which is unbound by time and money :)

Hm.. Strong post.. But if you quit it all & go home, you'll soon feel that you are bored. In a way, complete freedom is also boredom.
A better solution would be to find a job that you love and find a company that follows new 'Motivation 3.0' or WOKE style practices. What do those terms mean? Well, THERE ARE companies that realize that employees are being treated as resources and that employees do better if they are given autonomy (in your words freedom, in everything from work hours to method of working).
Try the book named 'Drive' by Daniel H. Pink. The book beautifully explains why today's corporate companies feel like prisons and how some companies are working towards changing that. The explanation will also be scientific instead of relying on myths.
I kinda side-tracked from the point in your post but that's simply because, I feel that its better to try to improve our situation instead of completely fighting the system. Then again, if you're completely convinced about quitting without a shred of doubt, then go ahead and good luck! :)
