Technology and our life - Are we wise enough?

1 - Wisdom  is proper application of technology.

2 - Technology results from culmination of knowledge.

3 - Knowledge is proper understanding of any subject or field-of-interest.

4 - Interest is result of our passion towards the subject/idea.

 If the above steps are going like 4 -- 3 -- 2 -- 1 then the Wisdom is attained. This is the only way.

But what if you do STEP-3 alone so keenly and expect STEP-2 and STEP-1 ? This is what current day India is doing.

If you notice, all the technology (step-2) is found by who have high passion for an idea/subject (step-4). Knowledge (step-3) is free if you have (step-4). 

In the last century, people had reached up to finding technology (Step-2). Only very few had (step-1).

Then what about Wisdom ?  

        The truth is we have lost Wisdom (step-1) part because of overwhelming technology (Step-2). The main reason why people stay in step-2 and could not progress to step-1 is GREED. People are GREEDY to make more money using Technology (step-2). In the mean while they kill their WISDOM (step-1).

Scenario-1:

     What is the purpose of  light bulb?

         To bring non-stop light at night. This helps people to survive in dark if needed.

     What is the problem?

         Now we put on lights at night to make people work even at night ! We study at night. Some people even started liking to wake up at night rather than morning (this is not good as our body is tuned to work in morning and rest in night).

Scenario-2:

   What is the purpose of finding a motor-vehicle?

         To travel faster. To travel in day or night. To travel in rain or scorching-sunny day.

    What is the problem?

           We employ people to drive at night, which is too dangerous for the driver. We destroy trees/forests to lay the road, which in turn affects the environment.

Scenario-3

   What is the purpose of any motorized tool (like cutting tools)

       To cut anything faster (like iron/wood/etc). To pump water fast and endless list.

   What is the problem?

        We are again making people to work in nights (all mechanical industries run day and night to make profit). We also destroy the nature in a pace more that it could re-generate itself... like destroying forests faster than trees grow... destroying species before they could reproduce.

Scenario - 4.. 5.. 6... 7.. 8... 

    You can do endless scenario. 

We should now think to reach WISDOM by leaving our GREED.
